The Journy from Engineering to Art
Since I was 6 Years old I knew I wanted to be an engineer. I was different then my siblings and everyone new that so they treated me different. I was born in a refuge camp in Beirut Lebanon. My parents were forced out of there homes in 1948 in Palestine (today it is called Israel). I have vivid picture of my childhood. I would not call it happy or Normal, but it did teach me many lessons that helped me survive. This story has a happy ending just be patient. So, every few years one someone brings a toy to our house for my sister or my brothers. I let them play with it for few days and the I borrow it!
I sent about 10 hours taking it apart and looking at every connection and every element of it, then I put it back together. The first few, I had too many pieces of hardware left after I reassembled it (Not good). With time, I learned how to fix them. Everyone in our area knew I was good at fixing toys. So I became the expert and I made money doing so.
Fast forward, 1981, I applied to the American University of Beirut (AUB). This was the happiest day of my life. This were going good until Israel invaded Lebanon and destroyed the entire country. Things got tough for the next couple of years and I was unable to study at the AUB. So, in 1984 I had to leave because I was no longer welcome in Lebanon.
After applying to Northrop University in Los Angeles, CA I was immediately accepted in the Electronic Engineering Department. Things went well and I graduated in 1986 in a Degree of Electronic Engineering and Minor in Computer Since. During this time I got a Job at Teledyne as a Metrology Specialist. I learn great deal from my mentor Chet Crane. He was an Amazing man.
in 1986 after graduating, I became the Metrology Engineer for Teledyne Micro Electronics. In 1987 I got promoted to Senior Automation Test Engineer at Teledyne Solid State. The Following year I became the Engineering Manager for the Automation department. 1990 Was a great year, I moved to Teledyne Relays as the Director or Automation Engineering.
During this time
